To improve our development capacity we use Scrum methodology to have agile process, and a set of proprietary technology tools specially designed to do Games: Karvonite, EC Connector and GaBuTok
Scrum: Development Methodology
We use Scrum to make our processes more agile. Scrum is an iterative incremental framework for managing complex work. Scrum is a set of work methods and tool boxes aimed at:
- Improving the ability to respond quickly to needs and requests from the market
- Cutting down waste and waiting periods
- Reducing employee stress while simultaneously creasing productivity.
Karvonite is a Persistence Framework that enables us to speed up the development process of our games. We use it to create internal monitoring and edition tools, among others. For most of our games, we have applied our own intellectual property: Karvonite.
Inter-American Development Bank Recognition In September 2004 and December 2006 we were
acknowledged in the Worldwide Innovating Technology category, awarded by the Inter-
American Bank Development and through the National Agency of Science and Technology
Promotion of Argentina, obtaining a non-refundable award for having developed “Karvonite 1.0” and “Karvonite 2.0 for Devices”. This latter version was entirely developed using .NET technology.
EC Connector is a high-performance multiplayer server developed by MP, targeted to handle tens of thousands of concurrent connections. It has a very reliable set of characteristics that let us develop multiplayer games with excelent funtionality and performance.
Our proprietary set of game editing tools and code libraries accelerate many of the typical game
development tasks such as common game logic, rendering, scrolling, camera control, level design,
physics, localization and testing. In addition, our game editing tools allow us to easily create game
prototypes.
This toolset has been designed to speed up production and improve the overall game quality.
